Connect your Twilio account to run Ringg agents on your Twilio numbers; they then call and answer like any other number. This is one of the bring-your-own-telephony options. Twilio appears in Add number only when international calling is enabled for your workspace, because Ringg lists Twilio numbers for the United States and Canada. There are no Ringg-provided Twilio numbers.

Before you start

A Twilio account

Active, with credit for number rental and calls.

Your Account SID and Auth Token

Both are in the Twilio console.

Voice-enabled Twilio numbers

Or a plan to buy them once the account is connected.

Connect the account

1

Open the Twilio account form

Go to Numbers → Add number, select Twilio, and open Configure provider (the gear). Select Add.
2

Fill in the fields and save

”BYOT added successfully.” appears and the account is available in the telephony account selector.
Saving also creates a Ringg app in your Twilio account.

Add and use numbers

With your Twilio account selected in Add number, both Import your own and Buy new are available. Outbound calls need no setup on the number. For inbound, Ringg links the number to its app when you attach it to an agent and unlinks it when you detach it. Importing, attaching and testing the numbers are the same for every provider: steps 3 and 4 of How BYOT works.

Troubleshooting

The account, import, no-response and audio problems common to every provider are in BYOT troubleshooting.

Next steps
