TrueFoundry AI Gateway is a proxy between your applications and model providers: your teams get its access control and tracing instead of calling Ringg directly. To call Parrot without a gateway, use the Python SDK; the model itself is described on the Parrot STT model page.

Before you start

A Ringg API key

The gateway sends it to Ringg on every request.

Add Parrot STT as a Custom Endpoint

1

Create a Custom Endpoint provider account

In TrueFoundry, go to AI Gateway → Models → Custom Endpoints and click Add Custom Endpoint. Under Configure Account, set:
  • Name: a unique name. It becomes {providerAccountName} in the request URL.
  • Endpoint Type: None, or any value you use for tracking.
  • Header Auth: leave it disabled.
2

Add the Ringg endpoint

Click Add Endpoint and set:
  • Display Name: any name. It becomes {endpointName} in the request URL.
  • Base URL: https://prod-api.ringg.ai/stt/v1/transcriptions
Turn on Custom Headers and add x-api-key with your Ringg API key as the value. Keep Header Auth disabled.

Your clients send only their TrueFoundry API key to the gateway.
3

Set access and save

On Access Control, add the users or teams who may use this provider account, then click Save.

Transcribe through the gateway

Call the endpoint at {GATEWAY_BASE_URL}/proxy-api/{providerAccountName}/{endpointName} (finding the gateway base URL). Send a multipart form with the audio in file and optional fields such as language and enable_cap_punc.

Only HTTPS, non-streaming requests work through this integration. For live streaming, use the Python SDK’s streaming mode directly. To ask TrueFoundry for more endpoints, email support@truefoundry.com.
