Creating a Ringg Space and allocating concurrency to it
1
Name it
On Sub-workspaces, click New sub-workspace and enter a Name of up to 60 characters, for example Collections. It must differ from every other workspace in the family.
The Create Ringg Space dialog
2
Create
Click Create sub-workspace. It starts with no concurrency, credits or API key; its currency and account type match the primary’s.
The new Ringg Space appears on the Workspaces tab.
3
Set it up
Click Manage on its row to allocate concurrency, set its credit and invite members (Manage a Ringg Space). Then switch to it, generate its API key, and build agents there.
Billing: on prepaid, the available balance; on postpaid, the family credit limit and how much remains.
Concurrency capacity: total concurrent calls, how many are allocated and how many are free.
Usage: spend across all workspaces this month.
Below them are two tabs.Workspaces lists each Ringg Space with Members (total, and how many are inherited), Concurrency, Credit limit with the amount used (postpaid families with per-workspace limits only) and Manage. The last row, Allocated to sub-workspaces, totals the allocations against the family’s capacity, for example 18 of 25. A total over capacity shows in red.People lists everyone with access anywhere in the family: Name, Email, Access and Invitation. Access reads Primary + all sub-workspaces for members of the primary, or names the Ringg Spaces a person was invited to directly.
Under Reserve concurrency, enter Set minimum concurrency for this sub-workspace and click Save concurrency. The meter shows Allocated across sub-workspaces against the family’s capacity. You cannot allocate more than the family has; lower another Ringg Space first. What the number does depends on the family’s billing mode:
Individual billing: it is a ceiling reserved for this Ringg Space. Capacity you leave unallocated is not lent to any Ringg Space.
Common billing: every Ringg Space can use up to the family’s total, shared equally among the Ringg Spaces with calls waiting. The number only has to be at least 1.
In both modes, 0 stops the Ringg Space from dialling; its calls stay queued. When a Ringg Space’s share is full, its new calls queue.
Reserving 5 concurrent calls for a new Ringg Space
To raise the family’s capacity, change concurrency on the primary’s Billing page.
The Billing tab appears when the family’s money is managed per workspace. What it controls depends on the billing type:
Postpaid: a credit limit for each Ringg Space. It cannot be set below what the Ringg Space has already used. Click Save credit limits.
Prepaid: a balance for each Ringg Space. Raising one takes that amount from the primary’s balance; lowering it returns the difference. Click Save balances.
If the allocations use up everything, the panel warns that the primary “cannot place calls or buy credits until you lower one”.When one balance or credit limit is shared by the whole family (common billing), there is no Billing tab and no Credit limit column. See billing modes.
Invite adds someone to this Ringg Space only, as View only. Grant edit access afterwards with the permission picker on their row, using the same areas as Workspace members.
Direct members were invited here. Only owners of the primary can invite or remove them from this panel; other members see “Managed by the owners of” the primary.
Inherited members come from the primary and are managed there. See Direct and Inherited.
Warnings appear before money runs out, on different pages for each side of the family. In the primary, on Billing plan and Sub-workspaces:
Postpaid: “Collections is running low on credit” when 20% or less of that Ringg Space’s limit is left, then “Collections has reached the credit limit”.
Prepaid: the primary “is running low on balance”, then “has no balance left”. The low-balance warning compares the balance with the family’s spend this month. With common billing, every Ringg Space draws from that balance, so all of them stop until it is topped up. With individual billing, each Ringg Space stops when its own balance runs out.
A call in progress when money runs out is never cut off; it finishes and is charged afterwards. In a Ringg Space, on Agents and Billing plan:
Postpaid: “This workspace is running low on credit”, then “This workspace has reached its credit limit”; its calls stop until a member of the primary raises the limit.
