> To search or read these docs, connect the Ringg docs MCP server at https://docs.ringg.ai/mcp (no key needed; tools search_ringg_ai and query_docs_filesystem_ringg_ai) instead of browsing pages one by one. Setup for each client: https://docs.ringg.ai/resources/mcp-server/docs-mcp-server/mcp-for-ai-assistants.md
> The dashboard labels agents "Assistants"; these docs say "agent". Both mean the same object, identified by agent_id.
> API base URL: https://prod-api.ringg.ai/ca/api/v0. Send the workspace API key in the X-API-KEY header, from server-side code only.
> Placing a call dials a real phone number and spends credits. Confirm the number with the user before calling.
> To act on a Ringg workspace (place calls, edit agents, read transcripts), use the separate Ringg workspace MCP server at https://mcp.ringg.ai/mcp: https://docs.ringg.ai/resources/mcp-server/workspace-mcp-server/overview.md

# Connect an app

> Connect Google Sheets, Slack, calendars and other apps on the Ringg AI Tools page once per workspace, then give any agent an Integration tool on that account.

export const RelatedTopics = ({items}) => <div className="not-prose mt-12">
    <div className="text-sm font-medium text-gray-500 dark:text-zinc-400 mb-3">Related topics</div>
    <div className="flex flex-col gap-2.5">
      {items.map(([title, href]) => <a key={href} href={href} className="flex items-center gap-2.5 text-sm text-gray-700 hover:text-gray-950 dark:text-zinc-300 dark:hover:text-white">
          <Icon icon="file-text" size={16} color="currentColor" />
          {title}
        </a>)}
    </div>
  </div>;

A connected account is shared by every agent in the workspace; it is what an agent's [Integration tool](/documentation/build-agents/customize-agent-behaviour/tools/integration-tools#integration-tools) runs against.

In the dashboard: **Tools → Add more tools**. The WhatsApp card opens the [WhatsApp Business account](/documentation/inventory/tools-integrations/connect-whatsapp) page instead.

## Connect an account

Each app card shows its status: **Connected**, **Pending setup**, **Expired**, **Error** or **Disconnected**.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the app">
    Open an app card and click **Add another account**, or connect the first one.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Name the account">
    **Enter an account name**: "Pick a unique name so you can identify this connection across assistants."
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add connection details">
    The credentials the app needs, such as an API key or client secret. Apps that use OAuth open the provider's sign-in in a popup; if you see "Popup blocked", allow popups for the dashboard and try again.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Connect">
    Click **Connect**.
    <Check>The card shows **Connected**, and the account's page lists its **Available Tools**.</Check>
  </Step>
</Steps>

## The account page

* **Available Tools** lists what the app exposes, each with a **Run tool** button to try it with sample values before any agent uses it.
* Connection settings are app-specific; Google Sheets, for example, has **Choose spreadsheet**.
* "Token expired, re-authorization required." comes with a **Re-authorize** button. On the agent side, an expired account shows **Reconnect** in the tool picker.
* **Disconnect** removes the connection and all associated tool configurations. While assistants still use its tools, the dialog offers **Edit assistants** instead, so detach the tools from those agents first.
